File Submission Guidelines

Here at LetsPrintBaby.com we print most files supplied to a "pleasing color" standard, using standard ink densities. Your printed final product will come very close to your file provided but there is no guarantee of an exact color match. This critical color match can be achieved but will incur additional fees and can delay delivery of your printed products.

We daily receive several different types of proofs from our customers. The wide range of output devices out there today provide a wide range of different results. Mostly, there are laser printers and inkjet printers, but there are also high resolution film-based proofs available as well. All of these proofing methods will still look different from the offset printed piece (true offset lithography printing). Even different printing presses and operators can achieve different results from one printing company to another. Certain line screens must be specified or we will plate your job in accordance to the quality of the art file provided. In other words, higher quality files provided can achieve higher quality results.

If you are striving for fast turnaround and our low pricing we will be using "pleasing color" and a PDF proof for instant online viewing.

All files supplied must have an accompanying color proof or one will be provided for you. Two-sided work must clearly indicate how your job is to back-up. If this is not provided, then a paper proof charge will apply.

If your job has critical color and a deadline exists, proofs will be overnighted for a 15.00 fee (no P.O. Boxes please),and this too can delay delivery of final product. Complete clarity on all jobs is our norm here at LPB; we choose to reduce all guess work and problems which may exist at delivery.

$10.00 for each PDF proof supplied via e-mail.
$15.00 for file supplied with (1) 8.5" x 11" proof. Each additional proof $5.00.
$20.00 for file supplied with (1) 11"x17" proof. Each additional proof $10.00.

All hard copy proofs must be signed and returned for your job to proceed to press, no exceptions.

Printing schedules quoted at time order is received begin from the in hand signed approval date. An accurate completion date will be available at the moment we have this physical approval. As always, we will do all we can to accomodate our customers' deadlines.

When sending us logos and pictures for use as artwork in custom jobs, we can accept files two different ways, electronically and through the mail.

To send us a file electronically, you may send an e-mail to art@lpbgraphics.com with an attachment containing your file. When sending us an attachment, please limit attached file size to 5Mb. For artwork with file sizes larger than this we prefer that you send it to us through the mail to:

If you e-mail artwork to us, please also fax us a proof so we can compare the received file for accuracy. Again, if you are submitting a disk, please send with it a color proof or folded dummy (if more than one page) so we can use it as a guide and/or reference. This too can clarify color and help us meet your expectations.

We can accept the following media for submission:

We can accept the following PC files: Corel Draw 12.0 (CDR) Corel Photo Paint 12.0 (CPT) Adobe Photoshop 7.0 (PSD) Adobe Illustrator CS (AI) AutoCAD (DXF) Kodak Photo CD (PCD) Windows Metafile (WMF) Encapsulated Postscript (EPS) as well as Assorted Raster Files (BMP, PCX, GIF, JPG, IMG, PCT, TIF, TGA)

We can also accept Microsoft Word (DOC), Microsoft Power Point (PPT) & Microsoft Publisher (PUB) files. Please note that Microsoft programs use an RGB color palette and text character sets which do not reproduce accurately when sent to film output devices and various other CMYK printers. MICROSOFT FILES ARE ACCEPTED AT OUR DISCRETION AND MAY INCUR EXCESSIVE TROUBLESHOOTING AT $65.00 PER HOUR.

We can accept the following Mac files: Quark Xpress 4.1, Adobe Photoshop 6.0, Adobe Illustrator 9.0

Guidelines when sending electronic files:
All rasterized electronic files (JPG, GIF, BMP, PCX, etc.) should be sent in their original uncompressed formats. TIFF files with no compression are preferred. Rasterized electronic files should be a minimum of 300dpi, though 600dpi is ideal for higher quality reproduction. Any black and white line art should be 1200dpi for best reproduction. All vector-based electronic formats (AI, EPS, CDR) should be saved in their original uncompressed formats. All fonts should be converted to curves/outlines when possible, and fonts should be included when excess text is present. All hi-res files should be linked and included with any file packages sent to us. All electronic files (both bitmap and vector) should be in CMYK format when color it being reproduced. RGB files can be used but we cannot guarantee accurate color reproduction.

Guidelines when sending photographs and artwork:
When sending photographs and artwork, please place cardboard in the envelope to avoid bending. Artwork to be scanned should be dirt and dust free, as any spots or irregularities will appear on final output. Please note that when you supply original photos or irreplaceable art, you do so at your own discretion. LPB Graphics, Inc. cannot be responsible for the return or replacement of this art should anything happen to it in our possession.

Compatibility Issues:
Even though your files may be prepared according to specifications, there are instances where problems can arise when ripping plates. Compatibility issues of your files to our system can occur and you will be informed at the time files are accepted. If you wish us to fix these problems, we can do so for a fee, or you can do so at your own expense
